is a powerful genealogical program that can handle up to 1 million names. It
will print descendant charts which show how anyone in the file is related to
everyone else, ancestor charts, family group sheets and descendant trees. You
can enter a total of five dates and five places per person. There can be up to
24 children per marriage and an occupation (or other) field.
Enhanced printouts can be made with support for laser printers, including a
birthday list for all living relatives. You can use ? in place of first or
last name when searching or printing. Word searches can be field specific and
include "and" and "or" searches.
Other features include automatic checking for a name that is similar and
asking if that is the name you want, the ability to print a birthday list for
living relatives, an "Ahnentafel" list, an option to print spouse names and
birth date on Tree charts, the ability to print six generations on one page
with certain printers, user-assigned reference codes, mailing address
printouts, and more. Requires 512K.

different eras and cultures. You can print multi-page reports which present a
scaled timeline for people and events, and sort and select by individual
people and events, or groups and factions. This is a serious tool for those
interested in history, art, and genealogy. You can add data, such as your own
family tree, to the data files and see the events that were going on around
the time of each of your ancestors.

including the international style with surname allowed at the beginning,
middle or end of name, the birth, christening, marriage, death and
burial dates and places tying them all together automatically as a
family and extended family structure.
It will print pedigree charts, family group sheets, individual and
marriage listings, and ordinance check lists. The program can
automatically track relationships of all individuals. Reports that can
be generated include Ahnentafel, Descendent, Time Line, Statistics,
Birthday List, Anniversary List, and Missing Information. Requires a
high-capacity or hard drive.

records information in variable length records and fields. You can keep track
of up to 16 marriages per person and up to 32 children per marriage. There
are provisions currently in the program to handle 90 different family trees
with 150 people and marriages per family tree.

family printouts, wall charts and indexes. Printer support includes Epson,
HPLJ's, and PostScript printers. Three different versions are available:

printers, including the HP LaserJet. It has an export/import feature and a
utility for checking and correcting errors in FHS Family file pointer fields.
Among the many reports it will produce are an All-Generation Ancestor Chart.
The family group reports can include a line which shows the relationship and
lineage of the subject of the report.

The Family

is a genealogy program. The really unique feature is that it can use variant
length data records. For example, let's say that the two lines allotted to
notes on the screen are not enough for the data that you wish to store for a
relative. Simply use your word processor to create a file containing the
information you wish to include in the database. That file can then be linked
in with the standard note fields. A hard disk and a text editor are
